What We Believe:

We believe...

There is a God who created us, knows us, and loves every one of us exactly the way we are.

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10)

God loves us so much that He came to earth as a person, that we know as Jesus, who lived, died, and came back to life so that we could know God’s love, joy, hope, and peace.

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5)

When we worship, pray, read Scripture, and love others, God’s Spirit works within us to be more loving, patient, and kind.

And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect.
(1 John 4:17)

God’s love is freely given to all. When we begin to grasp the love God has for us, we respond by loving God and loving others.

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. (1 John 4:9-11)

We embrace...

...the Christian statement of faith found in
The Apostle’s Creed.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.

On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Amen.
